If you feel like your relationship has died out then you’re not alone. You’re not always going to want your relationship to end when you know that the romance has died. You could still feel insane amounts of love for your partner, there’s just no spark or romance there. Instead of being romantic, you’re a couple who become more like friends. Anything more seems to be a challenge, and that’s when the bickering and the arguments come in. If it’s one sided and it’s only you, for example, who feels the way you do, it can create such heated arguments. But at the end of the day if you have been together for years and it felt as though the relationship was going to go all the way, then it can no doubt be a shock when the arguments are creeping in and the resentment starts to form. So, we want to try and halt it at the minor arguments for you before it gets any further. You can decide whether it’s best to part ways or whether there is something that can be done to save your relationship. Keep on reading to find out more.
Has The Spark Completely Gone?
This is what you need to try and determine. You need to understand whether the spark has gone or whether you’re just going through a bit of a lull. This is so common, by the way. When you first get with your partner everything is so full on. You’re so wrapped up in eachothers arms and the whirlwind that the rest of the world likes to call the honeymoon period. It can last up to a year, and after that is when the arguments start to come in. But it’s important to recognize the normal relationship bickers that everyone has, and the ones that should be addressed. It’s also important to understand if your attraction has faded, or whether you’re not as romantic in the bedroom as you used to be because you’re more comfortable around each other. A sexologist will tell you that it’s completely normal for life in the bedroom to slow down as a relationship progresses. But it’s not if you feel as though the attraction is gone. If it has, some space apart might help you to decide whether it’s going to come back, if not we think it’s only fair for the relationship to end.
How Was Your Relationship In The Beginning?
You can usually judge a lot about how your relationship is going now compared to how it was in the beginning. In the beginning it was obviously a whirlwind, and as we’ve said it’s so normal for that to die out as the years go on. But you still need to have that deep love for each other, and if you do all you need to do is try and put the spark back into your relationship. Go away for the night one weekend a month. Go out on date nights spontaneously and have a drink together. Just do things that keep the spark alive so you’re not in all of the time and feeling as though your relationship is wasting away.
